As I write this, there are five days left in this year’s voting for the Gen Con ENworld RPG Awards — better known as the Ennies. Some of you may have already voted – there are a host of hugely deserving nominations in every category, and if you’ve played or used even a fraction of the products in each list, I’m sure you found something that deserved your vote. I hope you ranked TheIlluminerdy.com highly for Best Blog.
But really, I’m writing to all you RPG fans who haven’t voted. If you’re already a fan of the site, but haven’t voted, please take a few seconds now, go to the ENnies voting booth, and rank The Illuminerdy #1 for Best Blog. This is still a completely ad-free site, so all those posts on weird history, conspiracy theories, GM advice, and product reviews are coming to you in the hopes of earning your accolades – and in this case your votes.
I know there are a lot of other good gaming blogs out there, so if you feel the need, rank the others, too! The cool thing about the ENnies vote tally system (an “instant runoff” system) is that ranking something #2 or #3 can’t hurt it in the final standing – it can only make it more likely to get either Gold or Silver. If you absolutely MUST rank some other site #1 (and I don’t know why you would), please give us the #2.
I have one more thing to ask of you, Illuminerdy fans: spread the word! Ask the members of your gaming group to vote. Your friends. Anybody with an even tacit interest in gaming who could or would enjoy the site. Every vote counts, and we could use every one.
